Frequently Asked Questions
Andee Fabricators offers MIG welding for steel structural and fabrication work, TIG welding for aluminium and stainless steel, stick welding for heavy structural applications, and specialised welding repairs on damaged or fatigued components. All welding is completed to Australian standards at our Minto workshop by qualified welders.
Yes. Our workshop is set up for aluminium TIG welding, which requires precise heat control and skilled technique. Alongside steel welding, we regularly weld aluminium trailers, aluminium toolboxes, custom aluminium fabrications, and aluminium repair jobs.
By arrangement, yes. Most welding is completed in our controlled workshop for consistent quality and lower cost. But for large structural components, welding work on installations already in place, or items that cannot be moved, we can arrange on-site welding across Sydney and NSW. Contact us with the details for a site-based quote.
Pricing depends on the type of welding (MIG, TIG, stick), materials involved, complexity of the welds, quantity, and whether the work is workshop-based or on-site. Because every welding job varies, we quote each project individually rather than by hourly rate alone — you get a clear, itemised price up front.
Yes. Welding repairs on damaged trailers, storage racks, structural steel components, brackets, mounts, and fabricated pieces are a core part of what we do. We assess the piece at our Minto workshop, identify the failure cause, and repair with appropriate welds and any reinforcement needed to bring the item back to safe working strength.
Our welders hold the certifications required for the welding techniques and materials we work with. Specific certifications and coded welder credentials for high-consequence jobs can be provided on request as part of your quote.
MIG welding is faster and suited to steel structural and fabrication work where speed and strength matter. TIG welding is slower but produces cleaner, more precise welds — ideal for aluminium, stainless steel, and any application where the appearance of the weld matters. We choose the welding process based on the material, application, and finish requirements.
Yes. TIG welding on stainless steel is part of our workshop capability. Common stainless welding jobs include custom stainless brackets, food-grade and hospitality fit-out pieces, and stainless fabrications for corrosive environments.
Simple welding jobs and repairs turn around quickly once the piece is in our workshop. Larger fabrication welding or structural welding jobs take longer depending on complexity. We confirm a realistic timeline at the quote stage so you can plan around it.
Our workshop is at 15/13 Swaffham Rd, Minto NSW 2566. We handle workshop welding for pickup and delivery across Sydney and wider NSW, and on-site welding by arrangement across the same area — including South West Sydney, Western Sydney, the Inner West, Sutherland Shire, the CBD, and Northern suburbs.
